Regional Network
With the acquisition of the 850 AM Boston frequency in 1995, SportsRadio WEEI moved from a 5,000 watt signal to a 50,000 watt signal, creating greater distribution for the highly desired SportsRadio WEEI content. In 1998, SportsRadio WEEI acquired the 1440 AM Worcester, MA frequency extending the distribution of the SportsRadio WEEI content from “The Waterfront, to Worcester, to Wilbraham”. Based on the success that was created in Worcester, SportsRadio WEEI acquired the 103.7 FM Providence, RI frequency in 2004, bringing the distribution of the SportsRadio WEEI content throughout Southern New England. Most recently in 2006, SportsRadio WEEI acquired the 105.5 FM Springfield, MA frequency enhancing the distribution of the SportsRadio WEEI content to include all of Western, MA, Northern, CT, and Southern, VT.
