"The police report has not been concluded, but from the information that I have gathered, I am suspending five players who were apparently involved in the fray," Bowden said in the statement. Andrew Ference will not be making the trip to New York and Toronto to play the next two games due to an foot injury suffered after blocking a shot. Ference is leading the Bruins thus far this season with a +9 and has seven assists, but left the game in the second period after taking a shot off the foot. “For sure he’s not making the trip, so [the doctors] are checking him out," said coach Claude Julien. "Obviously he got the shot off the foot, and he’s in no condition right now to make this trip. Matt Cassel had a historic night for the Pats, throwing for exactly 400 yards and rushing for 62, the first NFL player since the merger to accomplish that feat. His 16-yard TD strike to an outstretched Randy Moss with one second left in regulation sent the game into overtime. The Patriots gained 511 total yards, their highest total since gaining 597 yards on Sept. 9, 1979 against the Jets. Shawn Thornton scored one goal and assisted on a Stephane Yelle strike as the Bruins annihilated the Habs by a 6-1 score. "I'm satisfied with my career, I'm happy with it, it was a great run," Brown said of his career between 1993-2007. "If I ever feel that itch to come back, the only person I'll be calling is Bill Belichick. That's the only colors I'll ever wear. If he ever needs me to come in there and do something, I'll give it my best. I don't know what it'll be, I'll be 42 years old, 44 years old, going out there and try to jam somebody, get an interception, catch a pass, he knows I'll give him 120 percent every time I'm out there for him."
